Traffic Restrictions

St James’s Hospital site has introduced a traffic management strategy to reduce the volumes of through traffic to the site for Safety and Security reasons.

This has resulted in Restricted Access Via the Rialto Gate, i.e. access only for Staff with Valid Permits, Emergency Vehicles and Dublin Bus. The James’s Street Entrance to the Hospital is now be the main public access point going forward.

There are no restrictions to Emergency Vehicles or Dublin Bus at any time.

 

Car Park

How to get to Car Park for St. James’s Private Clinic:

From James’s Street Entrance

Please take first left directly after the Luas Station, follow the road and take the 2nd right turn into the car park.  This will be sign posted.

As you approach the car park barrier, please note the buzzer called Reception located on the barrier.   Please press this buzzer to talk to the receptionist in the clinic, who will then release the barrier.  Please ensure you have the name of the doctor you are attending, as this is required to gain access to this particular car park. 

Please note to exit the car park payment of €3 for a token should be made at reception.  We would request that you ensure you have €3 in loose coins for your visit.

From Rialto Gate

Please drive straight past main hospital and car parks on your left and right.  Proceed through the small round about drive past Hospital 1 & 2 on your right hand side.  Take the right turn before Luas station.

Luas Red line

The Red Line between Tallaght and Connolly Station has three stops adjacent to the hospital.The James’s stop is at the James’s Street entrance.  However the Rialto stop is the nearest for access to the clinic.This line also serves Heuston and Connolly Stations.

 

Train

Heuston station is located in close proximity to St. James’s Hospital, servicing the following routes:  Cork, Tralee, Limerick, Waterford, Ballina/Westport, Galway and intermediary stations.

 

Taxi

The hospital has a number of free phone taxi courtesy phones in the main concourse, Discharge lounge area and Emergency Department. This services is available on a 24/7 basis with no call out charge.

 

Bike

There are numerous secure bicycle parking areas on site. Dublin bike stations are available in a number of locations near our Clinic. The nearest station is station 84 Brookfield Road.
